Arsenal will be aiming to extend their unbeaten run to 20 games when they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will fancy their chances against a depleted United defence on Wednesday evening.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is Arsenal’s top scorer with 12 goals this season

Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is without first-choice defenders Ashley Young and Chris Smalling due to suspension and injury, respectively.

Arsenal are likely to stick with a back-three system, something which has worked wonders for them in recent weeks.

Shkodran Mustafi is expected to start in defence after training on Tuesday, despite limping off in the latter stages of the 4-2 derby day win over Tottenham.

Left-back Nacho Monreal has also returned to training after missing almost two months of action with a hamstring injury. But manager Unai Emery will be cautious about throwing him straight back into the side.

Matteo Guendouzi is set to start his first league game since October, replacing the suspended Granit Xhaka.

Meanwhile, Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be forced to settle for a place on the bench having been hooked at half-time against Spurs.

Alexandre Lacazette scored Arsenal’s third goal in their 4-2 win over Tottenham on Sunday

Their replacements on the day, Aaron Ramsey and Alexandre Lacazette, will be pushing for starts.

Meanwhile, Mesut Ozil is still struggling with a back problem and is unlikely to be available for the Gunners.
